Red Rock Canyon, Blue Diamond Being Hammered By rain Today

There has been a flash flood warning for the last 3 hours in the Red Rock/Blue Diamond area for heavy rain from a thunderstorm that has been stationary.  They have gotten several inches of rain and there is flash flooding on Hwy 159 (which is Charleston Blvd extended).
Hope there are no hikers hiking in Red Rock,. but it seems like there always is during bad weather.  And the people in Blue Diamond are going to get soaked and flooded.  Hope the burros are ok.
The rest of the Valley got plenty of rain today and we are now in the 9th wettest year of all time in Las Vegas, with almost 5 inches of rain for the entire year.
Some areas of the country got excessive heat and drought this summer but not in Las Vegas where we had a basically normal summer temperature wise and well above average rain.
