There is a Chicago area web site, chicagofire.com
The site has information on on the ongoing support of Chicago area fire departments, fires in the area and....purchases of fire trucks and ambulances.
Not cheap trucks, mind you but trucks worth up to $1,000,000.
Since December 11th, they have had 11 posts for apparatus going to different departments. Chicago also purchased numerous different kinds of trucks worth millions and they are flat broke.
You go to a fire equipment companies and you will find all of their completed order, like this site: http://fireserviceinc.com/fire-apparatus-completed-orders/
It shows 1 company's orders just from Indiana.
So, where do all these local government agencies get the money?
