BREAKING NEWS: 2 Metro officers Injured in Car Crash

As I was driving home, I ran across a very serious crime scene. Apparently, 2 Metro Officers were involved in a vehicle rollover and then their cruiser caught on fire, trapping the officers.
I was at the scene about 15 minutes after it happened. While I could not see the cars, the amount of emergency vehicles at the scene tells me it was a very serious accident.
There were 2 City of Las Vegas heavy rescue trucks, a City of Las Vegas Engine and Ambulance, a Clark County Ambulance and engine and it seems at least 25 police cars. One heavy rescue truck came from Las Vegas Station 44, which is located a significant location from the accident scene- about 12 miles. Nellis has been blocked off from Lake Mead to Harris, a distance of at least 2 miles. Apparently, the officers were given a police escort to UMC, the local trauma hospital. No word on their conditions.
It also appears the police may have working on a case- going to a scene of a crime, chase, or what have you. I base this on the police helicopter circling close, but not over the scene and the number of police units roaring out of the area with lights and sirens going.
Our prayers go out to the officers involved.

Update: Fox 5 reports the 2 officers are in very critical condition. The cops are also talking to a person of intrest.
