Reno Soldier Dies In Afghanistan

Gov. Jim Gibbons has ordered state flags at half for the death of Army Pfc. Kevin C. Thomson, of Reno.
From the LVRJ: "Army Pfc. Kevin C. Thomson was killed Oct. 3 in Kamdesh, Afghanistan, during a firefight against insurgents. He was one of eight soldiers killed.
Nevada National Guard spokeswoman April Conway said tentative arrangements have been made for a service Saturday at 11 a.m. at Mountain View Mortuary, then burial at 2:30p.m. at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley.
Thomson, 22, joined the Army in April 2008."

RIP PFC Thomson. Thank you for serving the country.
