In Las Vegas, there have been numerous advertisements on TV, mostly cable TV about Pete King Construction. Why? It is really strange to see why a union would take on a potential employer, so I checked out some things. The Petekigtruth.com, the leaders of the TV advertisements. The web site cites different violations, but really don't add up to much. They have anecdotal evidence and some cases of where employees were injured or died. The company has been quiet about these advertisements. So, what is going on? It appears Pete King Construction is a conservative company. They give to conservative politicians (John Ensign, for one), and they support marriage between a man and a woman. They are a non-union business and of course, the unions don't like that. They apparently have a good business and the unions don't like that. The unions want to unionize this company and if they cannot do this, then they want the business to go away. The gays are pissed that a company would actually get involved in politics and support conservative causes. It is a nice alliance, unions and gays, and it is a very liberal coalition. It doesn't sound like Pete King is losing much business or there would be interviews upon interviews to refute the claims by the unions. Perhaps, by advertising anti- Pete King ads, the unions are actually helping Pete King by giving them free advertisement and increasing their name recognition. All in all, it is just I think it is a bunch of union and gay thugs trying to get rid of a company that does not take to kindly to unions and gays.

ReplyDeletePete King Construction is employing illegal immigrants in large numbers. In case you were wondering, that is illegal and it hurts our communities. Why do you ignore that fact in your post? It really strips you of all credibility, especially when you consider your "ooh look, gay marriage" smoke and mirrors trick.
Again, why do you overlook the fact that Pete King construction is a massive employer of illegal immigrants? Is it because you strongly support illegal immigration and want to see Americans lose their jobs? Is hiring illegal immigrants, and firing Americans your definition of "good business"?
What is your evidence? You don't provide evidence, the commercial doesn't provide evidence, so where is it?
ReplyDeleteI would say badgering would be putting it mildly.Its more like harassment and intmadation. union members follow employes around town, even to there homes. they have tried to run employes off the road with 2 or 3 cars following 1 man. They have thretened to do sexual things to employes children to employes,so that many employes are scared for the welfare of there familys.When they picket jobs they scrach peoples cars cut tires and screw screws into guys tires.Pete King spends untold thousands of dollars a year on saftey,they are VERY loyal to there employes,and now they have stsrted E VERIFY to make sure every employee is a citizen,which by the way makes them the only const. com. doing that. Pete king is just trying to get through these hard times like everyone else.So if the union has anyone who is legal your time might be better served applying for a job with PETE KING and going to WORK!! rather than hassaling working men trying to make a living.

ReplyDeleteGoing to a website dedicated to bash another company is not efficient. It will only give you a one-sided and not very objective 'opinion'. I have also been a witness of almost all the claims that were previous mentioned that the union did to Pete King Employees. One employee was almost ran over by a union guy in a truck who was picketing outside the office. Then he threatened to do obscene things to his family. How is that legal? Pete King is a company that takes extra measures to ensure they are abiding the legal immigration laws as well as safety laws. Try picturing yourself as the Employer who not only has to deal with his employees being harassed on the road (being followed by several cars to get run off or cause an accident and thus more time and money for Pete King), harassed at the job site (all the previous claims of slashing tires, scratching cars is just a glimpse. There are thefts from the Pete King yard, from their job sites, picketing and rocks thrown through windows to name a few), but there should be a line drawn when the union will follow employees to their homes...and sit outside picketing and threatening. Since when should these kinds of fights be allowed to be taken to the homes? Frankly, I would be very scared and know many of the wives and children of the employees who are scared that one of these days they'll be caught at night alone and the union, who know where they live, will find them..... Why is nothing done about that? How come no action is taken against the union when they cross lines? I would just hope that someone would stand up to them and demand that they at least follow the legal route to make a point. Don't bully, threaten and intimidate the wives and children of the employees of Pete King. The union has already shown that they are not beyond the law when damaging the job sites, so what will stop them when they get to the homes? What can be done?

They break the law & it's even on tape that poor black guy being beat up for having "live free or die" miniature flags. The guilty ones openly wore SEIU on their jackets like they were immune to prosecution just like the New Black Panthers at the polling place in Pennsylvania. Sure enough none of either of these groups or people paid for what they did. Obama's new Civilian Security Force, as strong and well funded as the military. ReplyDeletePete king is not good to their employees and they DO NOT E VERIFY every employee. And half of that union crap isnt true. The v.p is part owner of a union company. Pete king is just another illegal slave driving company!
