My New Job: Traffic Reporter

I think it can be safely said that Las Vegas has some of the worst traffic reporters in the country. We could have traffic backed up for miles on the 95 and they will miss it. As for the off-highway reports, they are just terrible. One time I was going down Las Vegas Blvd. in North Las Vegas. they had traffic backed up for miles and with the Blvd. shut down in both directions. Not one report on any radio station was heard.
Anyways, if you are inclined to use the Airport Connector as a short cut in at night. Don't. If you are going to the airport and you want to use the Connector. Don't. We went southbound on the Connector and it took us 45 minutes to go from just Russell to the split outside the tunnel, where you either turn to go to 15 or the 215 to go to Henderson. All because of road construction.
And to the mental midgets, at the County Highway Dept., why not put out warning signs on Tropicana and another sign at Harmon, warning drivers of the delays If we had known, we would have changed routes. But no, they put out 1 warning sign at Russell, which was too late, and no one could turn around to take another route.
So, being a traffic reporter, it reminded me of this clip involving Robin Williams in "Good Morning Vietnam".
