Now That's Inflation + Garth Brooks Breaks Promise

Garth Brooks and the Wynn Hotel are going to raise his ticket prices by $110 a ticket. I guess when Brooks said he wanted tickets affordable, he was just pulling a fast one.
From the Las Vegas Sun: "Ticket prices for Garth Brooks' next 16 performances will increase by more than $100 due to an "overwhelming" demand, Wynn Las Vegas announced today.
Ticket prices will go from $143 to $253, including taxes and fees. Wynn Resorts Chairman and Chief Executive Steve Wynn said even with the price increase, he believe tickets for Brooks’ shows are still underpriced.
"My decision to raise the ticket price was a simple one. The demand for Garth was so overwhelming that it caught us by surprise. We could fill a theater many times the size of this, twice a night,” Wynn said in a statement. “When the greatest live performer of our time appears in such an intimate theater, the seats should be priced at least competitively with other great Las Vegas entertainers.”

But Wynn and Brooks are lying. When Books signed up, he wanted affordable ticket prices. $243 ticket prices are not affordable to the average person.
But that's the greed of Las Vegas.
