Did Brian Greenspun Lose A Bet And Got Scott Dickinsheets In The Deal?

Scott Dickinsheets is the latest of lousy columnists the Las Vegas Sun has hired.
With Dickinsheets, it's not so bad because he is just another lefty at the Sun to make fun of, but this guy is horrible, just a horrible writer.
Today, he wrote about how there should be some transparency whenever the police shoot some in the Valley. Umm, this news revelation is like 2 or more years old and pre-dates the Eric Scott case.
Other articles Dickinsheets has written is about the poor job market in Las Vegas, taking a hit in the real estate market, the Neonopolis and how much homework kids should do. These are all old stories. Maybe Dickinsheets had a knock on the head a couple of years ago and just woke up, I don't know. http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/dickensheets/
At least, with Jon Ralston, he will break a story now and then and usually have to lie about it, but at least he is current to the month. Dickinsheets isn't even current to the decade.
So, I am wondering if Dickinsheets is a relative of Brian Greenspun, the editor of The Las Vegas Sun and needed a job, or did Greenspun lose a poker hand and got Dickinsheets as the booby prize? Either way, I hope someone tells Scott Dickinsheets that is almost December 2010 instead of December 2008.
