From Yahoo News: President Barack Obama needed 12 stitches in his upper lip after taking an errant elbow during a pickup basketball game Friday morning with family and friends visiting for the Thanksgiving holiday, the White House said.
First word of the injury came in a statement from press secretary Robert Gibbs nearly three hours after the incident.
The White House did not initially name the person who caused the injury, but identified him later Friday as Rey Decerega, director of programs for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute.
Obama received the stitches under local anesthesia in the doctor's office on the ground floor of the White House after returning home. Doctors used a smaller filament than typically used, which increases the number of stitches but makes a tighter stitch and leaves a smaller scar.

It sucks to get stitches, especially in the mouth area. It's going to cause a lot of discomfort, but do you think the MSM and late night comedians are going to treat him like they treated George W. Bush when he fell off his bike while mountain bike riding? Maybe they will treat Obama like the media and comedians treated Bush when Bush choked on a pretzel? Or Gerald Ford when he tripped and fell? Or all of the jokes at Dick Cheney's expense when Cheney had his heart problems.
Yeah, I didn't think so.

I think he'll take a ribbing, and I doubt he'll care. I always thought the choking on a pretzel story sounded fishy, and that it was more likely a bender. Same with the bike story. But even if George W. wasn't off the wagon, I'm almost POSITIVE that Cheney was when he shot poor Harry Wittington in the face. What was it, 18 hours before the police were told?
