Ordinary Jill, on her great blog (http://jillsixpack.blogspot.com/) came across a story where a rooster with a knife attached to it's leg, stabbed a man in the calf while during a chicken fight and killing the man.
From MSNBC: A California man attending a cockfight has died after being stabbed in the leg by a bird that had a knife attached to one of its limbs.
The Kern County coroner says 35-year-old Jose Luis Ochoa was declared dead at a hospital about two hours after he suffered the injury in neighboring Tulare County on Jan. 30.
The Kern County coroner says 35-year-old Jose Luis Ochoa was declared dead at a hospital about two hours after he suffered the injury in neighboring Tulare County on Jan. 30.
An autopsy concluded Ochoa died of an accidental "sharp force injury" to his right calf.
Sheriff's spokesman Ray Pruitt says it's unclear if a delay in seeking medical attention contributed to Ochoa's death. Tulare officials are investigating, and no arrests were made at the cockfight.
Cockfighting is a sport, illegal in the United States, in which specially bred roosters are put into a ring and encouraged to fight until one is incapacitated or killed.
"When deputies arrived, people started fleeing," Sgt. Martin King told kget.com in Bakersfield. "One of the roosters jumped at the decedent, inflicting some type of injury and causing his death."

Let me guess, the guy who was killed was an illegal alien.
This story reminds me of one of my funniest moments in my life. We were living in a town house in Wisconsin Rapids and I was teaching at Westfield H.S.. We raised a rooster from the egg to a full grown chicken and we kept it at our house. Normally, nothing happened, but one evening when a certain family member who were not my kids let out a scream. I looked outside from a window and saw "Chickie", our rooster chasing this person all around the yard. She was screaming and the rooster was chasing her all over the place, trying to peck at her, I guess. Up and down the lawn, around trees and bushes and everywhere in the backyard. But this went on for about 5 minutes but seemed like an hour and I was laughing my butt off seeing the rooster chase it's victim.
Finally, this person was able to run inside and escape from the mean chicken. But the next day, we had to get rid of the chicken so we took it to the Marshfield Zoo and threw it int he turkey cage. What ever happened to "Chickie", I never found out. Maybe it ended up as dinner at one of the zookeeper's house or maybe they took it to a farm and became a stud chicken or maybe it just escaped and it was a free range chicken.
So, R.I.P Darwin award nominee, but you gave us a good story and gave me a good laugh.
