This Is Why The Death Penalty In Nevada Is A Joke

From the Las Vegas Sun: A man who sat on death row for 30 years for the killing of a Las Vegas woman has been granted parole.
The state Parole Board said Thursday that Ronnie Milligan has a solid release plan, but he must abide by standards and conditions such as getting a job and making periodic reports to his parole officer.
The board also directed that Milligan not drink or go to bars because it appears alcohol was involved in the slaying of 77-year-old Zolihon Voinski, who was stabbed with a screwdriver, hit over the head with a sledgehammer and robbed of $20 in July 1980 in rural western Nevada.
The board said Milligan, while on death row in the state prison in Ely, had a “positive record” and he had no prior major criminal record. http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2011/feb/10/nevada-man-death-row-30-years-granted-parole/

I'm sorry, but this thug should be dead but now he gets his freedom.
A jury and a judge sentenced this thug to die for a murder he committed (there is no doubt about that) and he sits on death row for 30 years. He should have been executed within 5 years of the conviction, but no, we end up with delay after delay, appeal after appeal. Now some liberal judges and liberal parole board now say this thug should enjoy freedom? At the very least, he should have been re sentenced to life in prison without parole.
We have the death penalty in Nevada but we are too afraid to use it. If we are so afraid to use the death penalty, then get rid of it but we cannot release death penalty criminals into the community. They are not worthy to be free.
