From Firehouse.com: The Waukesha County's National Association for the Advancement of Colored People chapter is calling for an investigation into the distribution of what it said is a racially offensive email distributed by members of the Brookfield Fire Department.
An internal investigation is under way at the Brookfield Fire Department after 12 News brought to their attention an email sent by a concerned resident who saw it'd been forwarded by several Fire Department employees last week from their work email accounts.
The email includes a photo of a trailer carrying an oversize piece of black rock or coal, and the caption reads "I-90 will be closed tomorrow across South Dakota. They are hauling a 200-ton lump of coal so they can add Obama to Mount Rushmore..."

First, since the fire department employees sent the e-mails during work time, they should get some kind of verbal reprimand for doing so on department time, but nothing more than that.
But is the cartoon racist? (I couldn't find the cartoon on online)
So, what is racist about this cartoon/joke? nothing- it' a stupid joke that isn't funny, but it is not racist. Maybe some people haven't realized it yet, but President Obama is black. Andif you are going to put his face on Mount Rushmore, which some supporters of his would like to see, how are you going to make him blacker than George Washington? Magic Markers?
However what is racist is the comment from the NAACP idiot from Waukesha County:
Janet Lucas, of the Waukesha County NAACP, said the email isn't political at all.
"I guess when I first read the email, it was total shock, but unfortunately that is just an example of what's happening in our society today. The lack of respect that you see towards our president, it is unfortunate," Lucas said. "(There's) definitely racial overtones," Lucas said.
"(There's) actually hate. You can feel the hate when you read the words. And to me, it's just the beginning of a hate crime that needs to be stopped," Waukesha County NAACP President Lillie Wilson said.
A hate crime? Are your freaking kidding me? If you oppose Obama or make a joke about him, it is a hate crime? So, this fool from Wisconsin saying it is a hate crime to criticize Obama or is this NAACP mentally challenged person not believe in free speech?
No, you racist fool. Many people that President is an incompetent president who has no clue about how business works, someone who is corrupt, someone who is hateful, anti-Semite/pro Muslim and a person who is in over his head as he just is unqualified to be president because of his lack of experience in the real world.
But according to Lillie Wilson, that is being prejudiced and a hate crime. Nope, that is being honest and if we had a white liberal who is just as bad as Obama, we would be against him as well.
Further, it is racist to support Obama just because Obama is Black as Wilson obviously believes. Why not admit it, Ms. Wilson, you are just a racist fool who only supports Obama because he is black.
So, yes, it was wrong for the employees to pass on the cartoon/joke during work hours but it was not racist hate crime. But the person suggesting racism and a hate crime is just a liberal racist herself. How sad is that?

Why would an Obama sculpture on Mt. Rushmore need to be "blacker than George Washington"? Statues do not usually represent skin color (or hair color, or clothing color). Mt. Rushmore uses the same stone for George Washington's powdered wig as it does for the other presidents' darker hair. I don't think a racist cartoon constitutes a hate crime, but it is clearly a racist cartoon. For you to not see that while calling a member of the NAACP an "idiot racist" for pointing out that it is a racist cartoon (taking a racist act more seriously than others is oversensitivity, but it isn't racism) shows some very ugly bigotry on your part. Your rationalization of the cartoon sounds like something Archie Bunker would have said.
