Another Nellis Plane Crashes

Today, around Alamo, NV. about 100 miles from Las Vegas crashed. from the LVRJ: An Air Force fighter jet has crashed in a remote area about 100 miles north of Las Vegas.
Nellis Air Force Base spokesman Lt. Ken Lustig says the pilot ejected safely before the F-15C Eagle crashed northwest of Alamo about 4:45 p.m.
Lustig says the pilot was taken to Mike O'Callaghan Federal Hospital for examination but did not suffer any injuries.
An investigation into what caused the crash is already under way.

Strange that the plane would be by Alamo. Alamo is on Hwy 93 north and west of Las Vegas. It's a beautiful area with farms, lakes and green grass- something that is rare in Nevada. to the best of my knowledge, there are no bombing ranges or training areas in the immediate area.
This is the second Nellis airplane to crash this year. http://lasvegasbadger.blogspot.com/2011/06/nellis-afb-fighter-jet-crashes-near.html This crash happened near Caliente on June 28, 2011. Maybe the pilot was on his way to a training area?
