Pawn Stars Review: January 31, 2014...Very Late Edition

I have to apologize for not posting this earlier.
I've watched and blogged every Pawn Stars show since it first aired in first aired in July 2009 or about 4 and half years.
When the show first started is was a pretty show, had interesting items and the story lines barely existed but were believable.
Now, many of the items are repeats, the story lines are not believable and many of the stories revolve Chumlee, my least favorite character.  Finally, when the show first started, you could tell the "Stars" enjoyed doing the show, but now, I don't think so, especially Corey.  When Corey turns and walks away from a customer, he does it in such a way that he looks pissed off in his body actions and that he doesn't want to be doing this anymore.
I also think that Rick and especially The Old Man, Richard Harrison, would rather be out there and actually running the store as opposed to being in the back of the store, except when they come out for picture taking and autographs.
I also work 2 jobs and many times, I work until 11:00 at night and then come home and write about the show for about 2 hours.  It wears on you.
Because of this, I had to take a couple weeks off to do the blog of the show because it was burning me out.
That's just my opinion and so, what do you think?  Has the show Jumped the Shark?  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jump_the_shark
Ok, now that I vented...
In first episode on January 31, 2014 ( or maybe 2nd, depending on how the DVR was set up), the story line had Davey Deals in the shop talking about... well about not much.  (New TV show?)
Davey wanted to buy some art work and he liked Johnny Cash's driver's license.  http://lasvegasbadger.blogspot.com/2012/11/pawn-stars-review-november-13-2012.html  He also liked a photo of Robert Plant.  Davey offered $250 and Rick wanted $1000.  Davey then was kicked out of the store but didn't leave.  Supposedly, he retired.
He then went to Corey and they looked at Jimi Hendrix photo's: http://lasvegasbadger.blogspot.com/2011/12/pawn-stars-review-december-5-2011.html   (see, I have blogged on them all) He wanted a Jimi Hendrix photo- he wanted it for $600 and Corey offered $2600 and then $1500 and no sale.
Finally, he was banned from the store by the Old Man.
A Fisk coffin.
The first guy brought in an iron casket.  http://hiddentruths.northwestern.edu/undertakers/iron_coffins.html The casket was from the Civil War era.  Rick was kind of freaked out when the guy opened up the window piece and saw blood.. or a water mark.  The guy wanted $3500 and Rick just didn't want to buy because of the creepiness.  No sale.
albert heijn smurfs
The next guy brought in SUV full of Smurf toys.  http://bluebuddies.com/help/smurf_names_and_list_of_the_smurfs.htm
The guy bringing them looked like he was in his late 20'sand possibly married.  Wondered how he explained this to his wife?  He had over 1000 toys.  Some of the Smurfs came from McDonalds and other toys and promotional items.  The guy wanted $12,000.  Time for Johnny and was impressed with the collection and worth about $6-7,000.  Corey offered $2000 and the guy came down to $4000 and Corey offered $2500 and that was the deal.  Corey did point out when the guy complained it was a life collection but Corey said it was the seller's life collection not his and this basically sums up how a pawn store operates- they don't take into account sentimental value- it's just stuff to them.
Dragon Blow Gun & Darts, Hand Crafted of Bone, Vintage Asian
The next guy brought in a blow dart gun.  It was about 3 feet long and made out of bone.  It was decorated very nicely.  The guy actually shot a dart into the floor.  The guy wanted $100 and Rick thought it wasn't that old and Rick made no offer.  No sale.
In the 2nd episode, it was a Super Bowl edition and the Old Man wanted Chumlee to work for him on that day.  Of course, this show was taped around July.  And they didn't use the words "Super Bowl" because of the NFL's trademark of the game/words.  Chumlee and Corey were arguing over to work that day.
Chumlee then got a another employee to work Chumlee's shift, Travis.  And Chumlee had to lie Travis to get him to stay.
The first guy brought in a Walter Payton autographed football, but the football was the Super Bowl 31game, won, of course, by the Green Bay Packers.  http://www.biography.com/people/walter-payton-9435443
The guy wanted $2500 and Corey offered $1000 and then $1500 and that was the sale price because he didn't want it in his house because the Packers won the game.  Idiot.

The next guy brought in a beheading sword from 1680.  Kind of the theme tonight: Death?  Rick asked what happens when a person is decapitated and if they stay conscious.  Time for an expert, Craig.  He said the sword was not sharp, which is the way it should have been and that the swords were very rare.  He said the sword was cleaned and artificially aged and that it was not real, so there was no deal.

The next guy brought in a Super Bowl program from the first Super Bowl: http://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/packers-beat-chiefs-in-first-super-bowl  It's kind of an ugly picture and the program sold for $1.  (Another theme? Super Bowl and Green Bay Packers)
The program was pretty thick and the guy wanted $600, so tie for an expert.
In the trivia question portion, they asked what did Dallas Cowboy Chuck Howley do that no other player has done.  The answer was that he won the MVP trophy but Dallas lost the game... against the Baltimore Ravens in Super Bowl 5.  Umm, no, it was the Baltimore Colts, not Ravens.
Jeremy came in to look at the program and said the program was in good shape and it was worth about $250-300.  Corey offered $200 and there was no deal.
