Update On Metro Police Shooting

From various news sources, it seems that a wife, husband and ex-husband were moving today when an argument broke out between the husband and the ex-husband. The husband shot the ex-husband in the leg. The police were called and when the cops confronted the husband, the cops shot the husband in the torso several times.
A couple of things. Having an ex and your current husband help move in 112 degree weather is not the brightest decision. It is hot and miserable, tempers will flare, and moving brings out the worst of people in the best of times. When it's 112 degrees out, it just adds to the misery.
The cops seem to have done a good job, considering the circumstances. Not every police shooting is a bad thing. Most of the time, the cops are justified in their shooting.
This is at least the 20th police shooting in the Valley this year. Of the 20, I think there maybe 5 shootings with 3 deaths that are troubling. That's 5 shootings too many.
But again, police officers don't come to the job at the beginning of the shift thinking they are going to shoot someone. It is something they would rather not do but they are prepared to do if the circumstances warrant.
