The LVRJ is reporting that the family of Erik Scott is going to place billboards in high traffic areas around the Valley to demand justice for Scott, who was killed by Metro.
From the LVRJ: "Scott's family and friends are hoping his face becomes a symbol for truth, the truth surrounding the circumstances of his July 10 death.
To that end, seven digital billboards flashing Scott's profile with the message "Let the Truth be Known!" will be launched at midnight today.
They are displayed in high-traffic areas such as Interstate 15 and Charleston Boulevard, the Las Vegas Beltway at I-15, and near the interchange of U.S. Highway 95 and I-15."

My guess is that they want to keep Erik Scott's memory from fading away, like other victims of Metro, who have died in police shootings.
The billboards will run for 4 weeks and cost about$3300. It sounds like one of the billboards is going to be very near to Metro's main building, which can be seen off of the 95 and Las Vegas Blvd.
Is it a good idea? Will it sway people? Will it turn people against Metro and other police officers. I'm not sure but I do hope that the billboard is not damaged, like many billboards in the Valley. I also hope that it doesn't inflame the police haters in this community and who will take action against the police. While the cops may have screwed up this shooting, that doesn't mean the whole Metro department are filled with criminals.
I hope the billboard brings the family peace and that they will be comforted by the results of the billboard.
