Political correctness today was the rule of the night in the Chopped Champions on the Food Network.
It was clear from the start that the judges wanted two female chefs in the finals. The fact that the judges didn't like the the two female chef's food in the first two rounds but still picked them for the finals just makes a mockery of the show.
The judges said that one of the two male's in the show, food was addicting and yet he was not chosen to the final. The judges also said they didn't like one of the female's dishes in the first dish round but picked her anyways for the finals.
Nothing like political correctness in a cooking show.

After pumping creativity and "thinking outside the box" the winner put forth a salad (1st round) and a cake (third round). For me, that is not $50,000 cooking and really undermined the integrity of the judges. The "Cookin in Brooklyn" guy really had the chops to go all the way.
ReplyDeleteSo who won? I fell asleep watching!
ReplyDeleteI don't know her name but it wa s the african-american woman, the person who the judges did not like in the first round.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I agree with anon. The guy with the glasses was my choice but they got rid of the two guys right off the bat, even they had severe complaints about the females cooking.
ReplyDeleteI also believe that the fix was in - they liked the cute girl from the start - most of the women on the show were not very attractive and she certainly was. Wade should have won - they used the old - not a "complete dish" after really loving his food and saying it was the best. Also, most of the time the judges hate "chemical cooking", but when the hot babe did it, all of a sudden they liked it.
ReplyDeleteWade was robbed, they wanted a women and they like the heart breaking endings with bringing on the family - just like last time with the winner's daughter
I use to love Chopped. Last night's episode 1/24/12 was politically correct as well. Sammi the former homeless man with a sob story beat out the clearly better chef. The judges reveled wildly in their morally superior choice. I won't continue watching.
