Paso County sheriff's detectives on Friday again arrested a court
process server on additional charges that he tried to pimp women filing
for divorce at the El Paso County Courthouse.
Sergio Reyes, 59,
was arrested on four more counts of promotion of prostitution after four
women came forward, sheriff's spokeswoman Deputy Angelica Becerra said.
Reyes was jailed on a $8,000 bond.
Detectives first arrested Reyes
two weeks ago after an investigation found he had allegedly sought
sexual favors and tried to prostitute women he met at the courthouse.
Reyes, who was free on bail, now faces eight charges of promotion of
prostitution.
Reyes is a self-employed process server who told one
woman that he worked for 42 lawyers, according to documents. He was
once a detective with the Sheriff's Office.
According to complaint
affidavits, Reyes would approach women who were filing for divorce. He
would offer to help for a fee of about $500. If the women had trouble
paying, Reyes would propose sexual encounters with a friend or with
himself.
Court documents stated that Reyes also allegedly made a sexual proposition to an undercover female deputy.

Wow, how stupid do you have to be to go up to a woman who just filed for divorce and asked them to be a prostitute? I mean, if the guy is not mentally challenged, then it takes some guts to go up to a woman and ask this.
