Democrats Continue To Put A Black Man Down

South Carolina Democrats, continue their racist actions against Alvin Greene, the elected Democrat Senate candidate. From Fox News: A South Carolina lawmaker on Sunday suggested that new Democratic Senate nominee Alvin Greene may be intellectually incapable of participating in the general election race.
State Rep. Todd Rutherford told Fox News that he went to Greene's house to discuss with him how Greene succeeded last week in becoming the candidate to challenge Republican Sen. Jim DeMint in the November election, but he found it difficult to decipher an answer.
"About two questions into a conversation with him, it would become apparent that he is not probably fit to answer the questions befitting a Senate candidate," Rutherford said. "If he was put into this, then it is a joke that is
funny to all the rest of us, but he doesn't get it -- because I don't know that his mental status is such that he can get it." http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/06/13/south-carolina-pol-questions-dem-senate-candidates-mental-status/?test=latestnews
If there is any doubt that you have a bunch of racists in the Democrat party in South Carolina, I think you can erase that doubt.
The Dem's are pissed that their candidate did not win. In primary elections, when no one campaigns, people pick and choose. In addition, Greene's name was listed first and that always adds votes to the person at the top of the page. In addition, he went against a person named Vic Rawl, a white guy. Alvin Greene is a more subtle name than Vic Rawl. It is also possible that some GOP people crossed over and voted for Greene. Perfectly legal, but maybe not the most ethical. Here in Nevada, The Las Vegas Gleaner blog encouraged liberals to vote for Jim Gibbons for governor instead of the better GOP candidate, Brian Sandoval.
So, instead of dealing with a sure loss in November, they are going after a black man who legitimately won an election, thus assuring the Dem's of losing the seat anyways.
Just curious, where is Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and the NAACP? Why are they not protesting the treatment of this man? Oh, they are just following King Obama's orders. Hypocrites.

  1. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are also African-American and they choose to side with the mainstream Democrats. So what, Todd Rutherforf may be doing the bidding of the white guy, Vic Rawl.

  2. I don't think there is evidence of racism. If Alvin Greene were a white man with the same record of involuntary discharge from the army and pending charges over the pornography incident, I think the Democratic establishment's behavior would be the same. That doesn't disprove racism, but I would need to see more specific evidence to convince me that Greene's race is an issue.

  3. There have had much more scummier people running for the Democrats in different races. The Dem's are pissed that their chosen one won lost to Greene.
I don't recall another case like this where a party is eating their own and being this visicious.
Hell, look at Wisconsin and I think the guy is Jeff Stone, the politician that has been in jail for DUI. The dem's wouldn't bounce him from the Assembly.
So, no, I don't think think this would happen to a white guy with the same record.

  4. While it's true that Jeff Wood (not Stone) was not ejected from the Assembly, that's largely because his term will soon be up (he's not running again).

Gary George (a black State Senator from Milwaukee) managed to keep his seat for years despite numerous investigations and corruption charges (which eventually landed him in prison), so I don't think Wood got more lenient treatment because he's white.

Ten years ago, the Democratic Party pressured New Jersey Senator Robert Torricelli (who is white) to drop out of his re-election race after the primary once allegations of illegal campaign contributions surfaced. They brought Frank Lautenberg out of retirement to take Torricelli's place on the ballot.

So, it did happen to a white guy with a similar record. One of the big issues with Alvin Greene is that he never reported any campaign contributions.

As you said yourself, the Dems are pissed that their chosen one lost to Greene. I still see no evidence of racism.
