911 Call And Video's Of Costco Police Shooting Won't Be Released Until Inquest

From KLAS, Channel 8 News: "What will set the record straight is surveillance video and the 911 calls placed during the incident. But Metro will not release them until the coroner's inquest sometime in September"

If Metro wants some creditability, two things need to happen:
1. They need to release the videos and the 911 calls. If the videos show Metro did everything by the book, great and most of the naysayers will shut up.
2. An independent police agency needs to investigate officer involved shootings. Metro investigating Metro shootings leaves a lot of questions unanswered. If there is a police shooting, then have Henderson, North Las Vegas or a state police agency handle the investigation. There needs to be some independence in the investigation stage. The D.A. is not capable of doing the investigation on the scene.
We need some transparency instead of hiding behind the inquest system.
Crap, now I am sounding more and more like the ACLU.
