No Wonder Limbaugh Apologized

From Fox News: A flower company is the seventh advertiser to pull its ads from conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh's radio program in reaction to his derogatory comments about a law student who testified about birth control policy.
ProFlowers said Sunday on its Facebook page that it has suspended advertising on Limbaugh's program because his comments about Georgetown University student Sandra Fluke "went beyond political discourse to a personal attack and do not reflect our values as a company."
The six other advertisers that say they have pulled ads from his show are mortgage lender Quicken Loans, mattress retailers Sleep Train and Sleep Number, software maker Citrix Systems Inc., online data backup service provider Carbonite and online legal document services company LegalZoom.
Well, for some reason i don't think Limbaugh's apology was genuine- it was out of necessity for his business.
However, because of Limbaugh's audience is so large, it probably won't hurt him too bad financially and he certainly won't lose too many listeners.
Because Limbaugh is well diversified in his income for the radio show, he won't be hurt.  But it will be interesting to see what the local affiliates do- will they stay with the number1 radio show in the country or will they risk losing audience and drop his show?  My guess most will stay because of the ratings Limbaugh gets.

  1. Rush Limbaugh railed against Sandra Fluke for three days, and was utterly wrong about what she said before Congress, and virtually everything else. He clearly doesn't know (or doesn't care) what her testimony entailed, or how contraceptives work. Beyond his dispicable use of words like "slut," and "prostitute," he was just wrong. This wasn't about taxpayer money, she wasn't talking about her sex life, and on and on. This isn't the first time Rush just launched into a tirade without having the facts. I have no idea why anyone is a fan of this mean, nasty creature. But then, I felt pretty much the same about Breitbart.
