Stick A Fork In Santorum, He's Done

I was a Rick Santorum fan... until tonight.
From CBS: DC:  Presidential candidate Rick Santorum on Thursday said Republicans should give President Barack Obama another term if Santorum isn’t the GOP nominee and for a second day compared rival Mitt Romney to an Etch A Sketch toy.
Santorum reiterated an argument he has made before: The former Massachusetts governor is not conservative enough to offer voters a clear choice in the fall election and that only he can provide that contrast.
“You win by giving people a choice,” Santorum said during a campaign stop in Texas. “You win by giving people the opportunity to see a different vision for our country, not someone who’s just going to be a little different than the person in there.”
Santorum added: “If they’re going to be a little different, we might as well stay with what we have instead of taking a risk of what may be the Etch A Sketch candidate for the future.”

Santorum sounds like a crybaby when he says that if cant have the nomination, then I am going to take my ball and go home and let the worst president in history continue to destroy the country.
I do understand Santorum's mistrust of Romney.  Romney/Obama Care and other bad laws that were passed when Romney was governor in Massachusetts.  However, Romney will be so much better than Obama as president.  Romney actually ran a business, unlike Obama, had to pay workers unlike Obama, knows how regulations hurts business unlike Obama and Romney seems to be more down to earth than Obama.
So, Rick,if you really think that the country is better off with Obama than Romney, it's time to get out of the race.  The presidential race is not all about the personal candidates, it's about what is right for the country.  As hard as it pains me to say this, Rick, it's time to get out of the race, with this small caveat- Santorum may have been misquoted by the media and if this true, then stay in the race.

  1. Here is where I separate cleanly from my Republican past. The United States of America is not a business. Its directive is not to make a profit, to produce a product. Being Chief executive of a country is a wholly different skill set from that of a Chief Executive Officer of company. A company's only real objective is to make a profit. Even if that means screwing employees, cutting corners, outsourcing jobs, etc. Running a country is SO not the same thing. And President Obama has 3+ years experience running a country. Romney has none.
