NASCAR In Deep Trouble

NASCAR is now thanking start and parkers.
This week, 43 Sprint cars showed up to the track in Watkins Glen and all 43 will start.
For 2 out of the past 3 other races, only 44 cars have shown up, with the exception being the race at Indianapolis.
What's going to happen if only 42 cars show up next week in Michigan?  Beg another team to come up with another car and driver?
Sponsors are fleeing the sport- even some of the best teams, like Matt Kenseth, don't have full time sponsors.  Very few drivers have sold out all their sponsorships and some drivers have no sponsors.
Why?  Well, the races seem to be more boring, with few exceptions.  The races on the mile and half tracks where there is little passing can put you to sleep.  It seems like the most exciting races are either the super speedways, the very short tracks perhaps not this year) and the road courses (again, maybe not this year).
Sponsors are the lifeblood of NASCAR and if there are no sponsors, there is no NASCAR.  NASCAR is already losing 1 major sponsor next year, the U.S. Army who will leave the #39 car of Ryan Newman and there is no sponsor to replace them.  Who knows what other sponsor is going to bail next year.
So, what will make NASCAR better.  First, more side by side racing.  The drivers don't like it, but too bad.  The Indy cars are far more exciting because they have side by side racing and they do a lot of passing.
NASCAR also needs to stop having 3-4 TV channels televising NASCAR.  NASCAR is on Fox and sometimes ABC, with the rest being on cable TV.  The sponsors do not like that and the fans are tired to see which channel the race is on.  NASCAR needs to get rid of TNT because they suck in broadcasting NASCAR.  NASCAR needs to choose between ESPN/ABC and Fox.
Finally, NASCAR need drivers who are not robots.  If a driver, like a Kurt Busch, speaks his mind and gets pissed now and then, what is wrong with that?  Other sports allow it.  Make the drivers more interesting.  But they all say the same thing- Insert sponsors name and my team and that is the all they talk about.
So, NASCAR is in serious trouble when they have to depend on start and parkers and I hope they realize how much trouble they are in.
