From Fox News: Chris Christie, the sometimes abrasive but always entertaining
governor of New Jersey, is set to be announced Tuesday as the keynote
speaker for the Republicans' national convention later this month.
Christie, who considered a 2012 presidential bid of his own before
endorsing former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, is already at work on
his speech to the convention in Tampa, Fla.
His record of cutting his state's budget, curtailing public sector
unions and dealing with a Democratic legislature with disarming and
combative confidence all were expected to be on display as he looked to
fire up his party's base. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/08/14/new-jersey-gov-chris-christie-to-give-keynote-address-at-republican-national/#ixzz23UfYG6zy
There is no other better GOP speaker than Gov. Christie, the pit bull of speakers. I'd even tune in for that speech, even though I think the conventions are boring.

Interesting contrast between Christie (who I see as a rude blowhard) and Paul Ryan. One guy is morbidly obese, one obsessively fit. It's just odd that both are just as idolized on the right.
ReplyDeleteWell, in my case, when i was younger, in high school, I was quite fit- ran cross country, track and ran 4 marathons, so I can relate to Ryan.
ReplyDeleteNow that I am older, I am fatter, uglier, balding and can relate more to Christie (not that obese, though)
