Why Don't We Nuke Them Instead?

From Fox News Detroit:  The city of Detroit faces a major financial crisis and one member of city council thinks President Barack Obama should step in and help.City Council member JoAnn Watson said Tuesday the citizens support of Obama in last month's election was enough reason for the president to bailout the struggling the city. (Click the video player to listen)"Our people in an overwhelming way supported the re-election of this president and there ought to be a quid pro quo and you ought to exercise leadership on that," said Watson. "Of course, not just that, but why not?"
Nearly 75 percent of Wayne County voters pulled the lever for Obama in November.  http://www.myfoxdetroit.com/story/20264712/detroit-councilwoman-to-obama-we-supported-you-now-support-us
And then there is this:
Julianna Kabat said she made the horrible discovery when she returned to her new home on Detroit’s east side Tuesday night.
About 9:30 p.m., she walked into the room she and her boyfriend, Jason Koester, 28, began renting on Tacoma Street on Saturday and found him shot to death, lying in a pool of blood on the bed.
“I thought he was sleeping,” she said. “I said, ‘Baby, wake up,’ and there was blood everywhere. I was holding him. Then I walked into the other room and everyone else was dead.”
Kabat said the woman who had rented the room to them, Janetta Harris, 22, was killed, as well as Harris’ boyfriend and a teen. The Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office said the family identified the other victims as Dyrelle Davis, 34, and Shawn Bender, 16, both of Detroit....
As of Sunday, Detroit had had 358 homicides. That’s more than in all of 2011, when 344 homicides occurred, and 2010, when there were 308.  http://www.freep.com/article/20121205/NEWS01/121205053/Renter-discovers-4-dead-Detroit-home-There-blood-everywhere-
And this:

And you can buy a house in Detroit for $1 per Realtor.com
So, why should we taxpayers, spend any money on Detroit? They ought to move everyone out of Detroit except the immediate downtown area where I hear it is kind of nice, and just nuke the place and start over in 100 years.
Heck, in New Orleans, which was a hell hole before Katrina, they moved most of the people out of New Orleans except the French Quarter and now, after rebuilding, New Orleans is a better place than before. So, while nuking Detroit may not be the exact answer, giving that City any Federal money is not the solution either.
RIP Detroit.
