Update: Wal-Mart Hoax

A 16 year old boy was arrested for saying over the intercom at a Wal-Mart that all people please leave the building.
"A 16-year-old boy who police said made an announcement at Walmart ordering all black people in a southern New Jersey store to leave was charged with harassment and bias intimidation, authorities said Saturday.
The boy, whose name is not being released because he is a juvenile, grabbed one of the courtesy phones at Walmart's Washington Township store Sunday evening and calmly announced: "Attention, Walmart customers: All black people, leave the store now," police said.
The teen was arrested Friday and released to the custody of his parents; police did not know whether he had a lawyer." http://www.elpasotimes.com/newupdated/ci_14719031

Wal-Mart changed the intercom system so this won't happen again and while I understand the reasoning, I think it will put the public in danger.
I assume that the phones on the sales floor will not be able to page. If this happens, store associates will not be able to page when there is a liquid spill (and it happens at least 10 time or more at my former store) in a timely fashion. It will also prevent associates to page when there is a medical emergency (Code White) or unruly patrons (Code 500).
I'm glad they found the punk who made this call and they punish him more than a slap on the wrist. I also hope the black ladies who were supposedly offended at Wal-Mart, so much so they are going to boycott Wal-Mart, that they grow up and realize that Wal-Mart was not at fault.
