Top Views Of Las Vegas

Today, the LVRJ came out with the best views of Vegas and when they mean Vegas, they actually mean the Strip. http://www.lvrj.com/living/here-are-top-spots-to-view-the-strip----and-beyond-96240264.html
Well, to go to these places and see the sights and sounds, you have to spend money, often so very good money.
Since I am the frugal type, here are some views that are free and beautiful. In no particular order:
1. Top floor of the parking garage at the Bellagio. You can see the middle part of the Strip and watch the fountains from a birds eye vantage, if you are tall enough.
2. To see the the entire Valley, including the strip and mountains: On Hollywood Blvd and Charleston. You can see the Strip unobstructed on most of Hollywood Blvd, which is on the east side of town.
3. Another view of the Strip and mountains is in Summerlin, in a park on Anasazi, between Oxford Cross and Far Hills.
4. Coming down 95 from from Henderson at night, a great view of the entire Valley and all of it's lights.
5. Going down Hwy 160, which is an extension of W. Charleston Blvd and driving past Red Rock. The mountains are as beautiful as any mountains you will see out west.
6. Continuing going down Hwy 160, to the tiny community of Blue Diamond. Drive by the ball field and you may get a view of the wild donkeys. Drive around the community and you might find some more.
7. Anywhere above 6000 feet around the Mount Charleston area
8. Hemenway City Park, Boulder City, off of Ville Dr. Great View of Lake Mead and if you are lucky, you may be able to see Big Horn sheep.
9. Next to Nellis AFB, either on Cheyenne Ave. or Las Vegas Blvd and watch the different types of military aircraft take off. In the early Spring, you can catch shows of the Thunderbirds as they practice. McCarren Airport also has great airplane viewing off of Sunset Blvd.
10. Just walk up and down the Strip and you will see the buildings close up and when it is hot outside, just duck in and stay cool.
So, enjoying Las Vegas is just not going to one place and see the sights. You don't have to pay money to see the sights, just drive around or walk around and you will see the real beauty of the Valley.
