Dina Titus, taking a page out f the Las Vegas Sun and Harry Reid, just flat lies about a position Dr. Joe Heck has taken. The issue is the unemployment extension that Congress voted on around the 4th of July.
In a press release dated today, July 14, Titus writes this: "Senator Heck’s silence on this important issue that deeply affects the lives so many Nevadans is deafening"

However, Dr. Heck, at the GOP convention on Saturday, July 10, 2010, Dr. Heck gave an interview to Channel 13, stated that he would have voted for the unemployment extension, especially if stimulus money was used. http://www.ktnv.com/global/story.asp?s=12786080 (you have to watch the video) Dr. Heck clearly states his position and he was actually talking and I am pretty sure, Channel 13 has closed captioning for the deaf and hard of hearing in case Titus wasn't listening.
Maybe it is Dina Titus who is deaf or hard of hearing?
Will we get a retraction from Titus? Nah, because college professors and liberals rarely admit they are wrong.
I also noticed that when Titus uses Dr. Heck's name, she writes: "Senator Joe Heck", instead of Dr. Joe Heck or Senator Dr. Joe Heck.
Hmm, maybe Titus feels a little bit ashamed of her employment history as she has never had a real job in her life. (and a job in education, especially college professor, is not a real job unless it is paired with another job in life where you have to do some real work like make a payroll, punch a clock, sweat a little, wait tables, cook etc) Or she wants to hide the fact that Dr. Heck is a real medical doctor who had to go to school and do more than just read books and write articles, as Titus did to get her PhD.
(I will add that getting a PhD is not easy, granted, it does take a lot of work and she should be proud to get a PhD. But getting a PhD in political science is not even close in difficulty as getting a medical doctorate where you have regular college for 4 years, medical school and residency for at least 2 years or many more years, depending on the speciality)
