Good Bye Jack + KXNT Sucks= Liberals Pissed

According to Norm, from the LVRJ, KXNT, KXNT is going to simulcast on 100.5, Jack FM, starting on Aug. 16th: The 100,000-watt FM signal, versus AM wattage of 50,000, is "clearer, cleaner, stronger and younger," Agnew added.
The simulcast starts Aug. 16 on 100.5 FM.

So, my favorite FM station is history and all the conservative programs will be on two stations. Will this help? I doubt it. Unless you are in an area where you can't get 840, and generally that means outside the Valley, you are not going to pick anymore listeners. Yes, 100.5 can go places where 840 can't, like Mount Charleston and maybe inside some buildings, but that is about it. They are not going to pick up very many new listeners.
So, the KXNT radio suicide watch continues. Instead of taking down 1 station, it looks like they are going to take down two stations.

  1. I wrote a similar post, and came to the same conclusion. And Jack was my favorite station too! Who says we can't agree?

  2. Reception for 840 am in Henderson has always been shakey
in the car it's good but on a handheld radio I can't get a clear signal
and on some radios can't even find the station
I had been using a portable handheld HD to pick up knxt on kkjj
HD 3 and that's touch and go indoors so hopefully the FM simulcast
    works out well
