How Terribly Sad

From the Las Vegas Sun: A junior at Faith Lutheran High School — and younger sister of 22-year-old homicide victim Michael Portaro — died Saturday night in a four-wheeler accident.
Christina Portaro was riding on the back of an ATV with a friend in Brian Head, Utah, when she fell off, said family friend Ron Futrell. She died instantly.
She had been spending the weekend with friends, Futrell said. The Portaro family is in Brian Head grieving privately, he said.
The tragedy is the second to befall the Portaro family this year. In March, Michael Portaro, a former Faith Lutheran quarterback and aspiring hip-hop artist, was slain outside the Tenaya Creek Brewery while selling tickets to an upcoming concert.
Metro Police arrested a suspect in connection with his murder in June.
“I don’t know how much the family is asked to go through with both these situations,” Futrell said.
In the wake of her brother’s death, Futrell said Christina Portaro was “there every step of the way helping the family out.”

It's hard enough to lose one child but to lose two kids within a couple of months of each other has to be a horrible, horrible experience. The story of Job comes to mind.
Please keep the Portaro family in your prayers.
