Occupy Las Vegas Gets 3 Month Extension. Why?

From the LVRJ: A three-month extension that will allow Occupy Las Vegas to remain at its encampment near the Thomas & Mack Center until Feb. 20 is coming under fire by some Clark County commissioners who disapprove of the group's protest last week.
County management signed off on the additional 90 days Friday, one day after 21 protesters were arrested for stopping traffic on northbound Las Vegas Boulevard in front of the federal courthouse.
County management said that the meeting with protesters to extend the permit was scheduled before officials knew the protest was taking place and that more time was needed to better assess the project.
Occupy Las Vegas is a local chapter of the Occupy Wall Street movement against corporate greed and influence in politics.
Commissioner Steve Sisolak said the board should discuss the permit at a future meeting to figure out what happens once it expires.
"I was really disappointed at the civil disobedience part," Sisolak said. "They absolutely told me that wasn't going to occur, which is why I was supportive of the idea. ... I was unaware there was even an extension applied for until I found out it was already granted."

So now, can any protest group come to the Clark County commissioners and demand a free track of land to protest for 4 or more months? What if the Westboro Church from Kansas came in and demanded a place to sleep and plan their protests and they want it for free? Sounds like Clark County is now on the hook for making land available to protest groups and other groups as well..
How about a pro-life group? Maybe they want a staging place to hang out before they go to the abortion clinics in the Valley and protest. Seems like Clark County has to give them a place to do that as well.
And why should it stop there? How about the County giving land for free to someone who wants to start a business, now they should get some free land.
How about other non-profits- I think, because of what they did with Occupy Las Vegas, they are obligated to give free land to these folks. How about some nice land on the Strip for Opportunity Village? How about some free land for the GOP and the Dem's?
It also seems that the County bureaucrats kept this arrangement secret until after fact and for those that did ought to be reprimanded, with maybe a suspension for hiding this from the public.
The Occupy groups were fun way back when, but all around the U.S., the Occupy thugs are being kicked out of their habitats, but of course, in Clark County, they are doing the opposite.
Why?
