Tony Stewart Wins Sprint Championship In Exciting finish
In the closest NASCAR Sprint/Winston Cup Championship ever, Tony Stewart beat Carl Edwards by 0 points and won the tie breaker by winning 5 races in the Chase at Homestead FL.
Stewart was as low as 40th place and he had to pass 76 cars to and came in 1st place, beating Carl Edwards by about a second. His restarts were the best I have ever seen and he drives like a man possessed.
In Victory Lane, the rain started to pour, so the rain held off just in time to finish the rain.
Carl Edwards is a nice guy, but Tony Stewart is nice guy who also is very funny, so they have a great champion.
Stewart was the first owner/operator to win the championship since Wisconsin's Alan Kulwicki did it about 20 years ago.
Now, it's on to Las Vegas for the season ending party.
