Tony Stewart's Dead Weight Gone?

From ESPN: Addington is believed to be headed to Stewart-Haas Racing to become the crew chief for three-time champion Tony Stewart, multiple sources said. Stewart informed Darian Grubb during the Chase that Grubb would not be returning in 2012.
"We're looking at all of our options right now," Stewart said during Tuesday's NASCAR conference call. "After we get through with all the media obligations today, I'll go back to the shop and we'll get together and try to come up with a decision. We already know some options that are available. We'll sit down and see what we think is the best option and decision for the company."

That's a shame that Grubb won't be returning to Stewart's pit box but I am sure he will find employment somewhere in NASCAR.
Unfortunately, there will be a lot of NASCAR employees looking for jobs this winter because a lot of teams are cutting back to save on expenses and the lack of sponsorships.
Perhaps if NASCAR was more exciting overall and the drivers weren't either a cardboard stickman like Matt Kenseth, Jeff Gordon or Carl Edwards or certified lunatics like the Busch brothers, then they would have higher ratings. But sitting at home, it was boring to watch many of the races and some times it was so bad that I would fall asleep during the race.
So, obviously the question remains- who or what was Tony Stewart's dead weight? Was it an employee or a girl friend or a car or car part? Maybe he will say what it is in Las Vegas during Champions week.
