And This Is Why We Need To Pass Immigration Reform?

Today, the Las Vegas Sun ran a guest editorial about why we should pass the Democrat's immigration reform bill. However, I am not sure if it was a serious editorial or a comedy spoof from the Onion.
From the Sun editorial: "Like many in Arizona, Nevadans recognize that the immigration from the Onionsystem is broken. The system has suffered from neglect, political opportunism and muddled messaging. But the comprehensive immigration reform proposal released in April by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., and Sen. Robert Menendez, D-N.J., is a step in the right direction and a proposal that Nevadans can and should support".
Now for the comedy: "Arguably, the first line of defense in protecting our country is knowing who is here. The bill will require all illegal immigrants to register with the government, which is especially critical now that Mexican drug violence is spilling over into Southern Nevada." I she serious. Illegals will register. Hell, illegals are so afraid to report serious crimes to the police, why would they register with the Fed's or whoever. However, illegals do sign up social services like rent aid, welfare, AFDC, WIC etc because they are not asked their legal status. So illegals are inconsistant.
Next in the funnies: "First, it will require illegal immigrants to pay a fine and back taxes, secure a job, learn English and go to the end of the line to wait their turn for citizenship."

Why would the illegals do this? They are currently in this country without having do all of this. Pay back taxes? How will they determine this, especially if the illegals work for cash. Pay a fine? Right, and how much will that be? Funny
One suggestion is that the illegals pay back all the services they have received. They should have to pay back all welfare and other social service money they have received. They should pay back the money for the education they and their children have received. If they have any outstanding bills such as hospital and medical bills.
This is just another reason in a long list of reasons why Harry Reid needs to be replaced. This immigration bill is just not feasible or even sensible. It is, in fact, a comedy story. It is so funny that Las Vegas headliner, Andrew Dice Clay, couldn't not find anything funnier than this.
