Troy Davis, the thug killer of an off duty police officer in Georgia funeral was today. Sadly, there over 2000 people celebrating this thugs life.
Apparently, at the funeral, the 2000 people just admitted to be convicted murderers.
From Savannah Now: With “the world watching,” Troy Anthony Davis’ family, friends and supporters filled pews at Jonesville Baptist Church on Saturday.
The funeral was scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. The line to get into the church, located at the intersection of Montgomery Street and Staley Avenue, wrapped around the building at 10:30 a.m., as MSNBC went live from the parking lot.
According to organizers, Jonesville can seat 2,000 people. The sanctuary was packed by the time the service began.
It was as much a rally as a funeral. The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People dubbed the service a “celebration of life” in a news release publicizing the memorial....
Ledra Sullivan-Russell, who befriended Davis through a prison pen pal service and became one of his staunchest supporters, was one of few speakers to get choked up Saturday. But she reminded herself how Davis would say she should smile when he called to deliver bad news about his case via her husband, Walker Russell.
“Let’s smile because our sweet man is no longer prisoner #657378,” Sullivan-Russell said. “He is Troy Davis. We are all Troy Davis”
That refrain, “I am Troy Davis” was echoed several times during the funeral. NAACP President and CEO Ben Jealous brought the crowd to its feet with the chant.
