Northern Illinois Football Player Thug Takes On Toledo Band Member

Football players are not usually known for their brains and some are known to pick on people smaller than them.
This video shows a Northern Illinois Footbally player, in full pads and uniform, throwing a body block against a University of Toledo band member, also in uniform, but without pads. Watch on your right hand side and for the number 6 thug:

For more information from the Chicago Sun Times: As spellbinding as Northern Illinois’ 63-60 victory was over Toledo on Tuesday night, Huskies freshman linebacker Jamaal Bass created some fireworks before the game and drew a one-game suspension.
As the Huskies took the field, the overly excited Bass bowled aside some members of the Rockets’ marching band as they were leaving the field after their pregame performance. The incident was taped by ESPN.
NIU administrators took offense to Bass’ actions.
“After reviewing the tape of last night’s pregame encounter between our team and the University of Toledo’s marching band, and discussing the situation with [NIU director of athletics] Jeff Compher, we have decided to suspend Jamaal for our next game,” coach Dave Doeren said. “I met with Jamaal early this morning. He is extremely remorseful.
“I want to publicly apologize to the [band] and to the University of Toledo. We are embarrassed at what occurred and take full responsibility for the situation.”
Bass, who played against Toledo, will miss the game Tuesday night at Bowling Green.

Supposedly, the band member received a concussion, probably hitting his head on the artifical turf.
This thug should have been suspended for the rest of the year or lost his scholarship, instead of a 1 game suspension. The NIU coach clearly was not embarrassed or took full responsibility.
