Harry Reid Money Man Indicted

From the Reno Gazette Journal: Lobbyist, lawyer and developer Harvey Whittemore pleaded not guilty this afternoon in U.S. District Court in Reno to charges he made illegal campaign contributions and lied to the FBI.
Whittemore, 59, was arraigned before U.S. District Court Magistrate William Cobb, wearing a black suit and blue tie and with chains around his ankles He was in federal custody at the U.S. Marshal's Office and was brought in to court. His wife, Annette, sat in the courtroom audience. There were many members of the news media as well....
A federal grand jury in Reno on Wednesday indicted Whittemore on four criminal charges: Making excessive campaign contributions, using another person to make a campaign donation and two counts of lying to a federal agency....
“Mr. Whittemore allegedly used his family members and employees as conduits to make illegal contributions to the campaign committee of an elected member of Congress,” said Assistant U.S. Attorney General Lanny Breuer. “Furthermore, according to today’s indictment, he attempted to conceal his crimes by lying to the FBI. Our campaign finance laws establish maximum limits on individual contributions, and failure to adhere to those rules jeopardizes the integrity of our elections. We will continue to pursue those who engage in such conduct.”

The member of Congress is none other than Coward Harry Reid:  Whittemore told Reid in February 2007 that he would raise $150,000 for the senate majority leader's campaign, according to the indictment. During the following month, Whittemore asked his family and employees to donate to Reid’s campaign and then he reimbursed everyone with personal checks and money orders, the indictment said.
What a shock, Coward Harry Reid, didn't know about the illegal activity.  BS, Reid and his staff know all about campaign laws and they know if something is legal or not.  Reid will skirt the laws in Nevada because he is Harry Reid, so I am proud that the Fed's are going after Whittemore and hopefully they will go after Reid as well for accepting the money.
