Interesting Vote In North Dakota On Tuesday

The University of North Dakota nickname is the Fighting Sioux and that thoroughly pisses off the multicultural pin heads of the NCAA.  So, there has been a fight in North Daoka as whether UND keeps the nick name or not and the voters of North Dakota will be voting on the issue next Tuesday.
From the Minot Daily News: The National Collegiate Athletic Association placed UND under sanctions after determining that its nickname and logo are abusive to the tribe. The Legislature upheld the nickname, then later repealed the law. North Dakota voters will decide whether the repeal will stand, giving UND permission to retire the name and logo. A "yes" vote next Tuesday retires the name and a "no" vote keeps it.

I'm glad that there some people who will not back down to the multicultural pinheads in the NCAA who demand colleges jump when someone may be offended.
Well, damn it, I'm Irish and I am offended by Notre Dame, so get rid of the drunk fighting Irishman mascot they have.  What, the Irish mascot is white so it doesn't matter?
What about the UNLV Rebels?  Their mascot is a white guy, kind of like Yosemite Sam.  I don't like violence, so I want the NCAA to demand that UNLV change it's nickname.
I am sure that PETA is offended by colleges who have animals as nicknames.  Maybe we ought to name the University of Wisconsin from the Badgers to the Liberal Wimps, or better yet, the Fighting Walkers.
And to those who live in Wisconsin and Minnesota:  David Hakstol, men's hockey coach, said policies at Minnesota and Wisconsin universities will prevent UND from continuing to play those teams. Loss of those rivalries will damage the hockey program over time, but the hockey program may be the least affected by sanctions, he said.  I guess Barry Alverez, Athletic Dictator of U.W. Madison is one of those multicultural pinheads.
I lived in North Dakota for about 4 years when I was in the Air Force and after I got out and I know North Dakotans don't like a bunch of pencil neck geeks telling them what they should do.
So, hopefully on Tuesday, the majority of North Dakotans will tell the NCAA to shove it and vote no on Measure 4.
