From The LVRJ:
A driver traveling the wrong way in a pickup entered a residential yard Sunday afternoon and struck and killed a person in the yard, Las Vegas police said.
The fatal crash occurred about 2:43 p.m. on Hacienda Avenue and Pecos Road. The identity of the deceased person was not available.
Lt. Les Lane said according to preliminary information, the pickup was westbound in an eastbound lane on Hacienda shortly before it entered the yard and hit a wall. Lane didn't know if the deceased was a man, woman or child.
Lane said the pedestrian was "on the resident property" when he or she was struck.
The driver of the pickup and a passenger were hospitalized in unknown condition.

This is at least the third time in the past few months where a car has left the road and killed a walker, or in this case, a garage sale shopper.
Then you take into account all the pedestrian-car accidents that have resulted in many people being killed. Many of these accidents have been the fault of the pedestrian.
Las Vegas is known for bad drivers, especially those driving after midnight after a few beers or shots. But now it is getting to the point you have to watch traffic while you are walking the sidewalk.
