Pawn Stars Review: August 20, 2012

This is the last week of school for most kids in the U.S.. so teachers are getting nervous and fretting while the parents of students are ready to throw parties celebrating their new found freedom.
Two new episodes of Pawn stars tonight.
Int he first episode, the first guy brought in a a book from World War 2 and autographed by Dwight D. Eisenhower and the book was "Crusade in Europe" .  http://www.whitehouse.gov/about/presidents/dwightdeisenhower  The book was signed before he became president of the U.S.  The guy wanted $1000 and time for an expert.  Rebecca came in to check out the book and autograph.  The book was in rough shape and the autograph was legitimate and the book was the 1st edition.  She said the value of the book was about $1500 because the book did not have a dust jacket and that cost the seller $1500.  the guy then asked for $1000 and Rick offered $800 and then $850 and then $900 and that was the selling price.
The next guy brought in a some food bags from Apollo 11, the first manned flight to the moon.  It kind of looked like MRE's of today.  They had the food inside of the pouches.  The guy wanted $400 for 4 bags and Corey said no and offered $50.  The guy went to $100 and that was the selling price.
The next guy brought in a Remington New Model Army from the Civil War. pistol  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Remington_Model_1858

Rick wasn't sure it the gun was it was a reproduction, so time for an expert, Craig came in.  He looked the gun over and said the gun was in great shape.  Craig said the gun was real and worth about $2000.  The guy wanted $2000 and Rick about $1500.  After some bartering the gun sold for $1600.
The storyline of the day was that Chumlee had to know all the president's of the United States. Chumlee was given a test and went backwards and got 22 and then stalled out.
The next guy brought in a bottle of 1970 of Bottle of Petrus Pomeral wine.  It is a Bordeaux wine, as the Old Man explained a little about wine making.  However, Rick was not allowed to buy the wine because of a City of Las Vegas law says pawn brokers are not allowed to buy liquor..
In the second episode the first guy brought in a hand cannon- a pistol grip with a miniature cannon on top of the grip.  This was homemade the cannon had a large wick attached to it.  The guy wanted$500 and Rick offered $75 and then $125 and that was the selling price.
The next guy brought in a 3 wheel taxi.  It looked like a motorcycle with a motorcycle and a taxi seat on the back.  It came from the movie "Freejack" with Emilio Esetvez, Mick Jagger and Anthony Hopkins.  http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0104299/
The taxi started and ran and apparently, street legal.  The seller owns this campground and was mentioned on th side of the Taxi: http://www.katmanducampground.com/
The guy wanted $13,500 and time for an expert, Danny.  Danny apparently has new glasses on, for what it's worth.  Danny looked at the Taxi and said it worked fine but had some damage to it.  Danny thought it was worth about $5000.  Rick offered $4000 and the guy went to $6500.  The guy wanted $5000 and Rick stuck at $4000 and there was no deal.
The next guy brought in a 1961 San Francisco Giants uniform worn by Willie Mays.  http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0104299/
He was also famous for "The Catch"
There is no paperwork to go with it and the guy wanted $45,000 and Corey needed an expert to check out the uniform.  Jeremy came in and looked at the jersey.  Jeremy came in and said the jersey was concerned the lack of the wearing.  He thought it was game issued and was issued  to Mays.  He thought it was worth about $35-45,000.  The guy wanted $45,00 and Corey offered $20,000 and then $25,000.  They guy wanted $35,000 and Corey offered $30,000 and $31,000 and that was the deal.
The next guy brought in a Beatles concert poster.  The concert listed was the last official concert of the Beatles in 1966 and playing at Candlestick Park in San Francisco.  Tickets went for $5,6 and 7.  Corey offered $800 and the guy wanted $2000.  In the beginning of the set, the guy said he wanted $200.  Corey went for $1000 and then $1500 and that was the selling price.
Int he end, Chumlee and Rick went to the shooting range to shoot off the cannon gun.  And Chumlee hit a coffee mug from 20 feet and got an hour off early.
