Ok, the federal government is going to shut down this weekend. So what? The essential government employees will be on staff such as police, fire, military TSA, air controllers etc. will be on duty, same as before. Most federal government employees are going sit home, drink beer or wine or whatever and enjoy the weekend, like they usually do. Some employees, such as some park employees won't go to work. Ok, instead of seeing Red Rock, drive by Red Rock. You can still hike in or around Red Rock, you just can't drive in and pay. You can still visit Mount Charleston and hike, ski or sled all you want, if you are able. I'm not sure about Lake Mead. Come Monday morning, some federal employees will still sit at home, drinking a beer or some wine. These are the non-essential employees. Non-essential. They are not needed to keep the government running. So, if the government shuts down, I really don't care. I am sure most other Americans won't care either, especially since most people's lives will not be effected. So, shut 'er down and get a good budget that will save taxpayer money money, put a limit on spending and borrowing. And who cares about Planned Parenthood. Don't fund it. They will survive.
