Shelly Berkley Runs For Senate

Shelly Berkely has decided to run for Senate, giving up her safe seat int he House. From the LVRJ: Democratic U.S. Rep. Shelley Berkley announced Thursday she will run for the U.S. Senate. The move was widely expected. Berkley's entry into the race to replace retiring U.S. Sen. John Ensign, R-Nev., could pit her against U.S. Rep Dean Heller, R-Nev., in the general election. In a statement announcing her decision to run, Berkely portrayed the race as a choice between Tea Party conservative ideology and her push for jobs and to improve the economy. http://www.lvrj.com/news/berkley-to-enter-u-s-senate-race-119840564.html Well, she is right about 1 thing- this will be a race between a flaming liberal and a moderate Republican. However her claim about trying to improve the economy and provide jobs rings very hollow since she helped kill the economy and jobs, especially in Nevada with her votes on the budgets, Obamacare, and the bailouts. I am really surprised that she is running because she is giving up a very safe seat in the House. But this will be a good battle but probably a dirty one at that. But I just don't see her winning, especially if the Nevada economy is still in the dumper in 2012 and Obama on the ticket.
