Today, in the Nationwide race in Montreal, Danica Patrick was driving a great race. She was in first place and led for 20 laps on the Montreal road course.
Then, on a restart with Patrick leading, some knucklehead throws a show onto the track. A frickin shoe and Patrick ran over the shoe, which may have caused damage to her car. She eventually broke, got the car fixed and finished in 27th place.
Patrick now is in 11 place in the points, just about in last place among the full time drivers. So of it her fault but at times like today, not her fault. After all, a driver trains for many scenarios, but a shoe on the track is not one of them.
