Mr. Handicapped Parker "Disappointed"

The despicable Las Vegas Sun and the ethically challenged and disgusting Anjeanette Damon tries to make a controversy out of nothing.  That is the same Anjeanette Damon and Las Vegas Sun that will not write about the outright lying of Crybaby Harry Reid and Mitt Romney's taxes.
But here is the supposed controversy between Danny Tarkanian and Handicapped Parker Stephen Horsford:  Democratic congressional candidate Steven Horsford today said he is disappointed in his Republican opponent Danny Tarkanain for a racially insensitive remark he made during a campaign speech last week.
As first reported by Sun columnist Jon Ralston, Tarkanian told a Republican gathering that Democrats were unfairly accusing him of making a racist comment to the Las Vegas Review-Journal editorial board last week.
Tarkanian had told the editorial board that he’s confident he can win African-American votes because of his family’s long relationship with the black community and because of the basketball clinic he runs for at-risk youths.

Well, let's look at the truth: Jerry Tarkanian is the former coach of the UNLV Running Rebels basketball team and he recruited mostly from inner cities and recruited many at risk youth as coach.
His mother, Lois Tarkanian is a city council woman in the City of Las Vegas and former CCSD school trustee.  And from her web site: She currently serves as a board member on a number of different organizations including the Clark County Public Education Foundation, FACT - Family and Child Treatment Center for Abused Children, Oralingua School for the Hearing Impaired, Nevada PEP – Professionals Empowering Parents, Emerge - mentoring emerging women leaders and as chairwoman of the Advisory Committee for the Teacher Education Academy at Clark High School.In addition, Dr. Tarkanian has been honored by such designations as Humanitarian of the Year by Catholic Community Services, Silver Lily Award as Humanitarian of the Year by March of Dimes, Citizen of the Year by Westcare, Golden Book of Deeds Award by Kiwanis Club, Nevada Woman Silver Heart Award, Las Vegas African-American Award for Distinguished Service, Citizen of the Year by the Nevada Family and Child Treatment Center and Friends of Education Annual Award by the Nevada State Education Association.http://www.lasvegasnevada.gov/Government/councilwoman_tarkanian.htm
So, Danny Tarkanian claims are correct and Horsford and his minions really the racists.
Then this from the Sun: But in defending himself against those Democratic attacks, Tarkanian questioned whether he and his campaign should “be like Steven Horsford… and pretend we’re black.”
“Should we not work within the black community?” Tarkanian said, according to a video of the speech posted by Ralston. “We could be like Steven Horsford who’s not doing anything with that community and, you know, pretend we’re black and maybe try to get some votes if that’s where it is.”
Horsford, Nevada’s first African-American senate majority leader, reacted sharply.
“I know who I am,” Horsford said in a written statement. “I will never be judged by the color of my skin, but by the results that I deliver for all people. Tarkanian has proven that he is bankrupt in more than one way, and it’s time he takes responsibility for not only his actions but also his words.
“I am simply disappointed in Danny Tarkanian.”
The comment about Horsford pretending to be black are probably true but it is was a stupid comment.  What Tarkanian should have said is that Horsford is one of the most arrogant people in Nevada and thinks he can park in handicapped parking places whenever he wants.  He also said that Horsford is a tax and spender, a Crybaby Harry Reid and Shelly Berkley lover and clone and that Horsford doesn't respect people.
The Sun and Damon think this is a scandal but Crybaby Reid lying about Mitt Romney isn't?  I'd say boycott the advertisers of the Las Vegas Sun, but they don't have any.  How pathetic.
