Fargo Is The Toughest Weather City In The U.S.?

The Weather Channel and it's viewers have chosen Fargo, ND as the toughest weather city in the U.S. http://www.weather.com/outlook/weather-news/news/articles/americas-toughest-weather-city-champion_2011-03-31 Ok, I used to live in Minot and Dunseith, ND and yes, the winters were tough. It would get down to -40 in the winter and some big snowstorms. But the Spring through Fall in North Dakota were beautiful, rarely getting into the 80's, much less, the 90's. I am sure Fargo is close to this. Of course, you would get the occasional big thunderstorm and tornado in the farmland. Sometimes, you have some flooding around the Red River area, but usually, it is just around the river and it happens when Spring is in the air. The toughest weather city I ever lived in was Havre, MT. In the winter, it got down to -45F. In the summer, it got up to 110F. We would get the big snow storms and big thunderstorms with hail and occasional funnel cloud/tornado. You really didn't get much of a Spring or Fall- just winter and summer. The landscape was dry and dirty-almost desert like- but it was still beautiful with the Bear Paw Mountains and the wildlife was awesome. So, Fargo can have it's title, but there are tougher weather cities out there.
