From the Orange County Register: Mitt Romney's presidential campaign has sent a $10,441 check to
Newport Beach for expenses related to his June 1 fundraising visit at
the Balboa Bay Club.
The Republican Presidential nominee met with local small business executives in Costa Mesa Monday, but it was unclear if the payment to neighboring Newport Beach had anything to do with him being back in Orange County.
The city issued an invoice to Romney Victory Inc. in
Boston, Mass., and according to Newport Beach spokeswoman Tara
Finnigan, the campaign's July 17 check to the city was processed Monday
morning.
In the meantime, the city is still awaiting payment from the Obama Campaign for similar expenses. Obama's campaign has not yet paid a $35,000 bill they were sent in May for Obama's visit to Corona del Mar on Feb. 16, officials said http://www.ocregister.com/news/city-365069-obama-invoice.html
One person is responsible for their expenses and the other is not. Why isn't surprising that Obama is the one stiffing Newport Beach- he's been stiffing the rest of us for the past 3 years.
