Obama And Reid Just Don't Get It

I am not sure if Harry Reid and President are naive, ignorant or just mean spirited but whatever it is, they just don't get it.
Obama came Nevada and Las Vegas and said he feels our pain. Reid basically says the same thing except he believes that things are actually getting better in Nevada, despite a 14+% unemployment rate. Well, I suppose things were getting better on the Titantic because the band was playing until the boat sank.
While giving a speech, Obama said this: "The nation has added private-sector jobs in each of the past six months" Ok, how many? 1, 4 or 1000. Anyways, it was not enough.
Further in the Sun article: "One path Obama said he is pursuing is to insist that Congress increase clean energy manufacturing tax credits by $5 billion, more than doubling the credits available last year. That alone would add 40,000 jobs, but he predicted it would also trigger $12 billion in private-sector investment and an additional 90,000 jobs. Essentially, a business venture that agrees to put up 70 percent of the financing would get a 30 percent match from the government."
Ok. We need to add those 130,000 jobs added every month or so, not over a period of years. Plus $17 Billion for 120,00 jobs comes out to $141,666 per job. Umm, yeah. That figure is not realistic and actually more when you consider the 30% government contribution.
I love this line from the Sun (yep, they are not biased)" As for efforts undertaken by his administration to increase employment, he said:
“We fought to keep Nevada teachers and firefighters and police officers on the job, and to extend unemployment insurance and COBRA so folks have health insurance while they’re looking for work.” http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2010/jul/10/hed/

To the Sun writer, there has been increase of employment of teachers, firefighters and police officers. Either there have been layoffs or no increase. Get your facts straight before you suck up to Obama and Reid.
Obama and Reid just don't get it. We need jobs now- not years from now. We need to lower the corporate income tax (we have the highest in the world) not raise taxes like Reid and Obama want to do. We need fewer regulations on certain things- all you need to look at the fiasco in the Gulf with the oil clean up and the major screw ups by the federal government. You need to pressure companies that hire illegal immigrants to open up more jobs for Americans. But Reid and Obama want to do the opposite: More taxes, more regulation and amnesty for illegals.
If you are looking for a recovery from the economic distress we are under, don't bother- it ain't coming.
