Another Reason For Voter ID

Liberals always say, give us a name when denouncing voter ID.  Of course, they miss the convictions of ACORN and 2 people in Las Vegas, the 4 people in troy N.Y. and the numerous convictions in Wisconsin of voter fraud.
Now, more evidence of voter fraud, from the Denver Post:
Secretary of State Scott Gessler has taken his most expansive step yet to identify noncitizens who may be registered to vote, filing open- records requests with jails in 10 of Colorado's largest counties for lists of anyone held on an immigration detainer since 2010.
The office then ran the names and birth dates of people on the lists — about 10,000 so far — against the state's voter-registration database.
They came up with 85 people who appear to be registered to vote, spokesman Rich Coolidge said. Of those, 29 were active voters, or had cast ballots in or since the 2010 general election.
The counties that provided data were Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Denver, Douglas, Jefferson, Mesa and Weld. Pueblo

But the liberal morons, like this idiot, just don't get it:
"I am continually surprised by the lengths our secretary of state is going to to try to prove that this is a problem," said Grace Lopez Ramirez, Colorado state director for Mi Familia Vota, a group that works to increase civic participation — including voting — by Latinos.
What this idiot and many liberals don't realize is that many soldiers died to give us the right to vote.  From the Revolutionary War until now, we have valued the one man one vote concept.  People who are illegally voting are trampling on the memories of those who died to give us the right to vote, trampled on the civil rights movement that ensured the people to vote.   The civil rights movement was about voting rights, along with fighting discrimination.
But now, liberals want to disenfranchise voters who legally voted but only to have their vote offset by by illegal voters.
So, let those who oppose Voter ID spit upon the graves of those who fought to give us the right to vote, because that is what they are doing.

  1. 2? 4? That's what I mean by vanishingly small. Yes, there are occasions where elections are won by slim margins. But the 2 and 4 cases of illegal voters verses the hundreds and thousands who are culled by harsh voting laws that end up disallowing LEGAL voters. . .I don't think it's even comparable. I'd rather 2 or 4 people voted illegal in every district verses 1,000 elligible voters being excluded. And if you look at ANY place in this country with new voter ID laws, there are THOUSANDS of people sometimes tens and hundreds of thousands of people who don't meet the requirements. I KNOW it's wierd that they don't have a photo ID, but they don't! There are 87-year-old grandmothers who have voted for 60 years, and are now excluded.

The fact is, the voter ID laws were not invented to address a big voter fraud problem. They were invented to disenfranchise Democratic voters.
