Pahrump Valley Times: Bully In The Newspaper

This past year, there has been an emphasis on bullying in the media.  Bullying in the schools.  Bullying on the playgrounds.  Bullying at work.  Bullying ever where.  People have killed themselves because they had been bullied.
In Pahrump, there is a newspaper and newspaper editor that seem to have a sick happiness in bullying people, especially those who disagree with their views and those who criticize the newspaper and it's semi-competent writers. .  Matt Ward is the editor of the Pahrump Valley Times and lead bully at the newspapers.
Examples of the bullying (names in the story will not be mentioned here): Last week we alerted you to the antics of a sorcerer in our midst — who cares about the kerfuffle over the medical examiner’s contract, the fact that commissioner ****** is a part-time Dungeons and Dragons necromancer is positively titillating. The man who believes public service is best defined by how many services you can vote against is a wizard in his spare time. A WIZARD!...
Big fat crazy cherry on top? Wouldn’t be Pahrump, Nye County if there wasn’t — *** also accuses new County Manager **** of sexual harassment in his June threatening lawyer letter that just surfaced....
Now, if you’ve never seen **** in person, you might wonder: Is he sexy like Matthew McConaughey? Suave like Sean Connery? Debonair like ******?
Perhaps a hint at the man’s, er, essence will help frame the matter....

Imagine, if you will, that ******, county Treasurer ***** and Town Manager ***** got together one night and decided to tie one on over at the grill in Mountain Falls. Say one thing leads to another, and the trio gets a bit too touchy-feely. Maybe amid this burst of “intergovernmental” passion, let’s say, the group spots former heavyweight boxer **** (Google him!) across the bar. Several more drinks, a rush of poor judgment later, maybe a bet by ***** goes awry, and a prison-style gang rape erupts.
Nine months later, ******’s otherwise blissful retirement is marred by the result of an unwanted pregnancy.
The former pugilist decides to keep the baby — and it grows up to become a horrendously ineffective, very unsexy Nye County public servant turned would-be extortionist named ******.......

.This is really sad since this newspaper and many others in the community consider our local courts to be among the most stable institutions around these parts.
We’re not going to divulge any details just yet.

So, now the PVT behaves like it is threatening people in the courts to play by the PVT rules or they will spill the beans.  Classy, PVT.
All these bullying comments came from just 1 editorial from the editorial board in which Matt ward is the editor.
These editorials have been going on for several weeks and all the the PVT wants to do is ruin reputations in the community.  These politicians work part time in government and most probably work in other jobs.  The PVT is doing their best to ruin their political reputation and their professional reputations as well.
No wonder all they can run on their web site is a bunch of Internet ads that pay about $4 a month.  Albertson's used to advertise on their web site, but I have not seen any commercials from them recently.  Good for Albertson's.
The PVT is owned by the same owners as the Las Vegas Review Journal.  I wonder if the owners accept bullying in the newspaper like what the PVT does.
It's a shame that supposed professional journalists have decided that instead of reporting the news, they instead have to resort to bullying.  I just wonder if Matt Ward was bullied as a child and now he is trying to get back at his childhood memories.  Otherwise, Ward is just an idiot, evil and a bully.
I just hope no hurts themselves because of the PVT's bullying.
