Pawn Stars Review: July 23, 2012

We're in the dog days of summer in most of the country, though in Las Vegas, we are in the monsoon season.  Every now and then, a thunderstorm will pop up and drench the area of rain, but it is hit and miss.  While some areas of the Valley are getting flash floods from thunderstorms, a couple miles away, it is bright and sunny out.
Today there was an article int he Las Vegas Sun, written by Corey Harrison and how Pawn Stars has affected him during the past 3 years:
Fame is a two-sided thing. You could never have told me three years ago when this whole crazy ride started what it would be like. Everyone wants to know how it has changed my life; it is pretty cool, and you will never find me complaining.
Perhaps the biggest change was going from being “Big Hoss” to not-so-big Hoss, as I lost more than 100 pounds since it all began. I realized that with or without fame, I wanted to be healthier and happier; I can say that has come to fruition. I have nicer cars, bikes and boats now and a new house.
My wife enjoys the fun stuff we get to do now, but at heart we are still the same kids we were before “Pawn Stars,” just nicer things and opportunities. When the show started, she and I talked about her no longer working at a retail store in the mall as the paycheck wasn’t needed. I am really happy she gets the chance to enjoy life outside the 9-to-5.  http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2012/jul/22/three-years-fame-has-changed-life-corey-harrison-p/
Today are two repeat episodes of Pawn Stars.  The first was first aired on December 26, 2011: http://lasvegasbadger.blogspot.com/2011/12/pawn-stars-review-december-26-2011.html
The second episode first aired on January 30, 2012: http://lasvegasbadger.blogspot.com/2012/01/pawn-stars-review-january-30-2012.html
That's it for tonight.  Thank you for stopping by and reading this blog.  Right now, I have doubled my readership since the beginning of June of this year.
Stay cool, unless, of course, you are the reader from Northern Ontario, Canada, then I hope you have a nice long summer.
